Default Chart I Created Is Changing Key

I just created a chart for Clark Terry's Blue Waltz in F major.

When I saved and closed it, it transposed into D and now says "Eb-part" under the title.

However, when I select "Edit Song" it returns to the original key...but only while in edit mode.

Does anyone know why this is happening?

    Thanks!

    Yes.
Somehow you have gotten mixed up with the transposed instrument feature that’s used for mostly wind instruments who read charts displayed in a key other than the “concert” key that “C” instruments use.

As a guitar player, you need to have that setting set to C and then don’t mess with it..

The editor only writes in the song’s concert default key which you can set/change on the chart’s info-page (little “i” in a circle) in the editor.

Bob, your work here is legendary!

That has fixed it and thanks for the info...as a newbie to the app and forum, it is much appreciated.

As the developer has added more useful features to this great app, there’s just more to learn.
