    First attempt at charting a more complex score. Several measures had four complex chords. Is this format ok?

    It’s preferred to enter a bar-repeat sign(%) in space 2 of a 4-space bar so it will center in the measure. When the entire preceding measure isn’t fully repeated (like bar 3) use the slash instead.

    Using the Small font you can usually fit 4 chords into a 4-space bar without overlapping (sometimes you can shorten the quality without changing the sound G#o vs G#o7 in bars 6&7)
    I also use the small font to emphasize shorter duration G+ in bar-4.

    In the alternative, when there’s enough space, double the length of the measure(s) like the last line in the B-section.

    Compare how I charted bars 4 & 8 in the B-section to the notation chart.


    It’s good to try the chart in the player. That can highlight spacing errors.

    Aha! I wasn't aware of the small font feature. This makes sense. Thank you for hand-holding me through this -- I appreciate it! So will the band!

    P.S. I notice there is an empty bar, which would be the third to last measure. Is that OK or should that empty bar be deleted? It would mean the second to last line would be "short" visually.

    The iRp player skips past and ignores “empty” bars, so should you.

    The reason for that bar is actually a feature.

    The editor automatically adds a single barline either at the end of the last bar on a system or at the start of the 1st bar in a system when a barline is placed in either. There is just ONE barline between bars, it just shows up in two places.
    The auto-barline actually saves a ton of entering and avoids confusion if forgotten.

    The reason for the system (line) to be “short” is so that the following double-length measure doesn’t wrap between systems. (Especially hard to read)

    My goal is to (when possible) have the player play correctly, have the chart be easy for a musician to read,understand and follow right out of the gate. And (when possible) be nice, neat, square and pretty.

    Nitpìcker here.

    The Cm7/Ab in the B section should have a G in the bass, Cm7/G, to keep the bass moving down in scale steps.

    The F6/A and D7b5/Ab toward the end don't need to be small size. In fact, they're a little confusing small, since the bar is extended.

    Thank you! (As a bass player, I appreciate that!) I also noticed the next-to-last bar of the C section reads better in small font.
