Default If It Hadn't Been For Love - Chris Stapleton-Mike Henderson

Chris Stapleton wrote this and released it on the Steeldrivers album in 2008. Here's the YouTube Link to Stapleton playing it solo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AF-YClPL28g and a YouTube of the Steeldrivers version: https://youtu.be/_OG8Y7wDUVo

The song was recorded by Adele on her "21" album in 2011and became a semi-hit. Here's a link of her singing it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pmKg...ature=youtu.be

I prefer Stapleton's performance as it feels more gutsy to me.

I'm a jazz and blues violinist and fiddle player looking to develop some hot solos over the song.

You can pretty much play variations on a minor blues scale start to finish.
1,3b,4,5b,5,7b. Occasionally include the 2 and/or the 6 if you like.

I've improvising over an A- Pentatonic, which works well too. I was hoping for the chord changes. Not being a guitarist or pianist, figuring out chord changes from listening to a tune is not within my skill set.
