It Could Happen To You
Something odd happened on ireal and I am sure it is operator error of some kind. I had 19 tunes I edited and I came back yesterday and it showed 13. I am not sure how the others vanished, but it seems they did. I had sent this file to my bass player so I was able to recover and reload it.
So.... I tried like heck to get ireal to play my guitar voicings. Sometimes it works and sometimes well.... it doesn't flow as smooth as on my instrument (a few of the transitions are a bit jerky). With only the voicings of the accompiment to choose from I had to do chord/bass figures a few times and be creative in my chord choices. However, it does fit the melody.

PS ....Oops, fixed a chord. Also, the chord editor is actually pretty good. You can twist some unique inversions out of it. Not the same voicings as on my instrument, but workable... : )
It Could Happen To You (reharm doc) 1 - Jimmy Van-Heusen
As I understand it, selecting different chord inversions to display (eg. guitar chords), doesn't affect what the iRp player will play.
The player constructs a brand-new (and often somewhat different) track each time before the count-in, based on an algorithm that looks at the chord qualities, slash-bass and the selected style.

Ah, the thread opened for me now. I must have Martians in my laptop.
I hear the differences in the comping style variations, however some inversions just mesh better than others within ireal it seems. I do a lot of voiceleading and play the altered notes on the bottom string on guitar at times, so translating that is not always accurate. I do sing the tunes, so whatever I do has to fit the melody. I haven't really checked into the the guitar box display feature yet.
