Default What Good Would the Moon Be? - Kurt Weill

Beautiful tune from the 1946 opera Street Scene, music by Kurt Weill, lyrics by Langston Hughes, book by Elmer Rice.

The original opera version, and a jazz version.

A lead sheet for the tune is in Hal Leonard's Ultimate Broadway Fake Book. Some of the changes therein differ from those of the original vocal score.

My chord changes are a reharm. The changes from the vocal score are notated above the staff.

What Good Would the Moon Be-Rev JE - Kurt Weill

    Cheers,
    Jer

    Lovely
Thank you for your effort in transcription and including the “book” changes over yours. It’s a helpful lesson.

(I moved a couple of the small alt chords slightly to improve legibility)
